I was able to hit my sub-170 weight but my body fat % is nowhere close to where I wanted it to be. I had the most success when I was disciplined about hitting my daily protein goals without too big of a calorie deficit.
Traveling solo forced me to meet people and most of the plans I made on this trip were based off of recommendations from locals and other travelers. Ended up being an amazing trip and I'm convinced Maui is one of the most beautiful natural places in the world.
Aside from that, I felt that I had accomplished what I had wanted to do. I was able to play and hold my own against some of the best players of all time. Mang0, Mew2King, PPMD, Armada, Axe, Shroomed, SFAT, PewPewU, Crush, Zain, Ken, SilentSpectre, etc.
The good news is that of the 2.6 lbs of weight I've dropped, only 1.2 lbs of it was muscle mass, meaning my slower cut has retained a greater percent of my muscle. Previously 60-80% of my lost weight was in muscle mass, this time its closer to 45%.
The 3 weeks following the first week, I've dropped 0.5% bodyfat and 4lbs overall which is about the rate I'm looking for. At this rate I'll be able to get to 167 lbs and under 12% bodyfat in 6 weeks. I might pivot to a lean bulk if I'm feeling undersized by then.
